Buhari floors Jonathan in Ogun, …wins 13 LGs

ABEOKUTA-The Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress,  Gen.Muhammadu Buhari has defeated President Goodluck Jonathan in Ogun state as he polled 308,290.

Buhari  won in 13 local government areas of the state while Jonathan who is the People’s Democratic Party candidate  for the presidential election held on Saturday won in seven out  of 20 local governments in the state.

Announcing the total result of the election,  the state collation officer,  Dr. Duro Oni disclosed that Buhari polled 308 290 in all the total votes cast of 559,613.

Oni also said Jonathan was able to garner 207 950 in all the 20 local governments , saying the total valid votes were 533 172.

The election which was participated by 14 political parties had 594975  registered voters.

According to the INEC collation officer,  Bujari won in Ijebu Nirth-East, Odogboolu, Abeokuta North,  Ado-Odo/Ota, Abeokuta South,  Ewekoro, Obafemi-Owode, Ijebu-Ode and Odeda.

Others include;  Egbado South, Ifo , Egbado North and Ipokia local governments.

While Jonathan won in eight local governments include Ikenne, Ijebu-North,  Ijebu-East, Sagamu, Imeko-Afon, Remo-North and Ogun waterside.
