A 36 year old man, Brian Reynolds who raped an unconscious
teenager on a sofa after a house party has been sentenced to jailed for
four-and-a-half years.
According to Mirror.co.ukMirror.co.uk, Brian, was invited to join a
group of friends after he got chatting to them from their balcony.
By 5am the party came to an end and he fell asleep on a
chair, while his 19-year-old victim slept on the sofa near a friend.
Around half an hour later he was caught on top of the woman
- having pulled down her jeans - raping her.
Simon Christie, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court
how the group of young people started drinking at around 6pm on August 7 in
Bootle, Liverpool.
Reynolds, of no fixed abode, was invited up by one of the
party and the court heard he made crude sexual comments and tried to kiss the
woman he would later go on to rape.
At around 5.30am, the young man in the room woke up to a
sound of “grunting” and saw Reynolds on top of his friend as she lay sleeping.
He said the woman was asleep and Reynolds was having sex
with her.
Mr Christie, said: “He jumped up and swore. He pulled him
off her.
"The defendant, said: 'She was enjoying it'.”
Reynolds was thrown out and went to a nearby flat where his
ex-girlfriend lived, and she let him in, but the police had been called and
Reynolds was arrested.
Reynolds said his victim had been flirting with him and that
any accusations made against him were done out of jealousy.
